  • The name of Mitchell Raleigh, a recurring character in some of the stories, is a play on Matthew Reilly's own name.
  • Reilly has encouraged aspiring film-makers to make Rewind into a short film, on the condition that he gets to see a copy of the finished product. It has been produced at least once, in 2004 by independent filmmaker Andy Stark.
