The Omega Event, sometimes stylised as just Omega, is the cycle of the destruction and rebirth of the entire universe.
History[]
Early History[]
With the creation of the universe by the mysterious Super-Ancient Beings, it was made to collapse in on itself and be remade if the seven worlds that were later seeded with life failed to prove their worthiness to continue existing at the end of a series of trials. This cycle of the universe's collapse and subsequent rebirth would become known as the Omega Event.
In order for each of the seven sentient worlds to prove their collective worthiness, a claimant on each world who succeeded in performing a Fall at one of the iron mountains would be branded with a burning key that granted them entry into the Supreme Labyrinth. From there, they would need to navigate their way through the maze and sit upon one of the two thrones within at the moment an Omega Event occurred, in order to send a quantum pulse out into the universe and prevent the universe-ending calamity from occurring.
After the Super-Ancients were gone, the Four Legendary Kingdoms learned about the trials left behind and the Omega Event that would follow them. Though the Four Kingdoms had vowed to maintain the Super-Ancients' knowledge and tools for completing the trials, the information regarding the Omega Event was primarily maintained through the ages by the Catholic Church's Omega Group.
Shortly after the Great Games of the Hydra that took place around 1,250 BC, the king who received the Mysteries, Zeus was granted knowledge regarding the final trials of the ancients, which he undertook and allowed him entry into the Supreme Labyrinth. Upon reaching the throne at its center, Zeus sat upon it as an Omega Event took place, releasing a quantum pulse that kept the universe from collapsing in on itself.
Towards the present day, many scientists theorised about the end of the universe in a devastating contraction they dubbed the Big Crunch, and the possibility that a new Big Bang would occur when that happened, unaware that all of this was already known by the Four Kingdoms and their closest advisers. In 1945, the renowned theoretical physicist Albert Einstein confirmed the existence of the Omega Event, which he knew had occupied other great minds for years, for himself, realised the unrivaled calamity it represented, and theorised the scientific process behind the quantum pulse that kept the Omega Event from occurring.
Prior to 2016, the highest-ranked members of the Church, along with organisations like the Order of the Serene Maidens, discovered the exact time that the next Omega Event would occur, on the 29th of December in 2016 at 3:06 am, GMT.
The former General of the Four Kingdoms' Elite Royal Guards, Garthon Rastor, experienced a "change in philosophy" from his masters, in which he began to almost worship the Omega Event itself, and soon desired to let it occur rather than be prevented.
The Four Legendary Kingdoms[]
Around mid-November 2016, during the Great Games of the Hydra that were a part of the ceremony to complete the third trial, Cardinal Ricardo Mendoza explained to Jack West Jr about how the five tasks set by the Super-Ancient Beings were to test life on Earth, and that upon humanity's completion of the trials, the Ancients would share with them the knowledge of how to prevent the next Omega Event.
When Jack prevented Orlando Compton-Jones from receiving the Mysteries that would make completing the remaining two trials easier, Anthony DeSaxe feared that surviving the Omega Event would be more difficult, but Jack assured him that they could find the necessary knowledge to complete the two trials together and thus save humanity from the Omega Event.

The Two Lost Mountains[]
When the Order of the Serene Maiden sisters Lynda Fadel and Agnes were accepted into Jack's team, they revealed how long they had until the next Omega Event; six days until December 29th.
With his escape from the Royal Prison of Erebus, Rastor set out to earn passage into the Supreme Labyrinth by completing the Fall at an iron mountain, but only so that he could beat his rivals to the throne and keep the Omega Event from being averted.
By the time that Jack's group, the last, entered the Supreme Labyrinth, there were less than three days left to find their way through to the ultimate throne before the Omega Event occurred.
The One Impossible Labyrinth[]
Around two days before the Omega Event, Sphinx almost managed to sit on the Throne of Life to avert the disaster early. However, rather than allow the Trismagi to obtain the power he wanted as a reward, Jack destroyed the Throne with a destroyer's cannon before Sphinx could reach it, leaving the only means of preventing Omega in the Throne of Death.
By the time that each was being judged by the Gold Colossus, the other six sentient worlds had already met the conditions necessary on their respective planets to avert the Omega Event.
In the final minutes before Omega occurred, Rastor used a high-velocity rifle to pin down Jack and Sphinx from approaching the Throne of Death, though he was soon defeated by Jack.
During the final 20 seconds before Omega, the fabric of reality began to crack across the universe, filling the skies with celestial lightning that could be seen all over the Earth. Fortunately, with three seconds to spare, Jack sat upon the Throne of Death, activating the quantum pulse that spread out into the universe and kept the Omega Event from collapsing the universe.
With the celestial lightning caused by the Omega Event's approach having been witnessed and filmed as evidence, the whole world soon learned of the historic events that had been taking place and of the Omega Event's near-occurrence. With a Omega Event likely to occur again in the future as part of another series of trials, humanity began working on preserving the tools and shrines.

- Though it is confirmed in The Two Lost Mountains that an Omega Event took place during Zeus's era, it has not been expressly confirmed if other Omega Events occurred at the times of the two previous Great Games of the Hydra, which the king of kings of those eras needed to prevent.
