Mobutu is a Corporal in the Army of Thieves.
History[]
Early History[]
Mobutu was locked up at US prison camp in the Sudan for an unknown crime. When the previously unknown terrorist group known as the Army of Thieves broke into the prison, they released 102 of the prisoners, including Mobutu, to recruit them.
After the break-out, the Army's second-in-command, Typhon, brutally inducted every one of the prisoners to ensure their loyalty. Typhon branded Mobutu and the others with the Army's signature, and then had them drugged and forced to watch hours of horrific acts such as murder, rape and torture. As a result, Mobutu felt compelled to obey both the Lord of Anarchy and Typhon out of fear.
Mobutu was presumably a part of the force that took control of the old Soviet facility on Dragon Island, so that the Army could use the atmospheric weapon to destroy most of the northern hemisphere.
Scarecrow and the Army of Thieves[]
As a number of enemies infiltrated the facility in order to try and disable the Tesla device were captured, Mobutu took part in the torture of the captive Ironbark and Jeff Hartigan in the gasworks under the Lord of Anarchy's instructions to get intel from them.
After Mother, Baba and Shane Schofield were captured, Mobutu took the latter's Maghook for himself. As he required the remaining two Red Uranium spheres to ignite the atmosphere, the Lord of Anarchy had Mobutu finish off Ironbark by electrocution and Hartigan by putting rats in a box over his head in order to transmit their screams across the island to draw out Zack Weinberg and Emma Dawson. When there was no response, Mobutu delivered the same rat torture to Mother and Baba, apparently killing them.
The Lord of Anarchy next had Mobutu torture Schofield by electrocution, briefly halting in the process when Bad Willy brought Zack and Emma in with the spheres. Having no more need of Schofield, Mobutu was ordered to finish the job, electrocuting Schofield to death.
However, after Schofield was revived thanks to Bertie, he turned on the Army of Thieves with a vengeance. As he opened fire at the Lord of Anarchy, the Thieves' leader grabbed Mobutu and used him as a shield from the gunfire, which killed the Thief. Soon after, Schofield reclaimed the Maghook Mobutu had taken off him.
Skills[]
- Expert Combatant: As a member of the Army of Thieves, Mobutu has likely been trained in several forms of hand-to-hand combat.
- Expert Marksman: Possibly due to being a former soldier prior to joining the Army of Thieves, Mobutu is an accurate marksman and capable of using a variety of different firearms.
