Early History[]
Likely made by the race of Super-Ancient Beings that created the universe, the Lifestone was used to generate complex lifeforms on seven worlds 500 million years ago, so that intelligent species could eventually evolve and fulfill the Super-Ancients' trials.
Knowledge regarding the Lifestone's existence was evidently handed down to humankind by the time they evolved, along with the other requisite knowledge and tools for the trials.
The Four Legendary Kingdoms[]
During the fourth Great Games of the Hydra, as Cardinal Ricardo Mendoza explained the nature of the trials to Jack West Jr, he briefly noted that the Super-Ancients had created the Lifestone, but did not elaborate on it.
The One Impossible Labyrinth[]
While in the Chamber of Judgement of the Supreme Labyrinth, the Gold Colossus explained to Jack that the ancients' had used the Lifestone to seed complex life on Earth and the six other worlds .
Capabilities[]
As it has only been mentioned in passing, little is known about the Lifestone and how it works. What is known is that it is capable of generating complex cellular life on barren worlds so that they can eventually evolve into large lifeforms with the capacity to develop sentience.
