Khufu was an ancient Pharaoh of Egypt, ruling during the 26th century BC.

Fictional History[]

Early History[]

After his rise to power, the Egyptian Pharaoh Khufu was presumably also made the new King of the Kingdom of Land of the Four Legendary Kingdoms, though this knowledge was known to only a select few. If this was the case, then his membership in the Four Kingdoms allowed Khufu to be taught about the true history of mankind, as well as learn of the trials set by super-ancient beings to test humanity.

By the time of his reign, Khufu had become one of the few who knew of the iron mountain lying hidden beneath Aker and its role in locating the Supreme Labyrinth. After (apparently) receiving orders by the Super-Ancients to build a structure to contain the energy of the Tartarus sunspot through the Golden Capstone, as dictated by their first trial for humanity. As a result, Khufu ordered the construction of an enormous pyramid near Aker, in deference to the ancients. Within one of the pyramid's chambers, Khufu had glyphs carved into the walls that confirmed to his "great and wise Overlords" that he had done as they had commanded and why he had chosen to have the pyramid built near Aker, as well as his intent to be laid to rest inside it.

After the Capstone served its purpose to act as a point for the energy from the Tartarus sunspot to unleash its energy in around 2570 BC, Khufu ordered the Capstone removed from the Pyramid's summit and hidden away.

At some point either prior or during Khufu's reign, the six Pillars of the Machine and five of the Six Sacred Stones came to be kept under the Pharaoh's charge. Eventually this led to the Pillars and Sacred Stones being referred to as "Khufu's Treasure".

After Khufu passed away, he was laid to rest in a sarcophagus placed inside the Great Pyramid. Some time in the next few millennia, however, the Catholic Church would steal the sarcophagus (and the body of Khufu inside it) and hide it away within their secret vault at Lake Albano, making it a missing archaeological treasure.

Towards the late 20th century / early 21st century, Diane Cassidy deduced what Khufu's treasure was, and the noted the importance of his relationship between the Great Pyramid, the Capstone, Pillars and Sacred Stones and their greater impact on mankind's history.

The Two Lost Mountains[]

While researching the location of the Supreme Labyrinth, Alby Calvin came across a photo taken by British archaeologists within the Great Pyramid that depicted the King's Tomb and the hieroglyphs written by Khufu which stated the reason he had erected the Pyramid where he did.

The One Impossible Labyrinth[]

While searching for documents related to the Orphean bell's location in the Lake Albano vault, Iolanthe noted the pressence of Khufu's long-lost sarcophagus among the artefacts. When a Golden Knight, his squires and a dozen bronzemen arrived at the vault, Iolanthe, Bertie and Nobody were forced to hide within Khufu's sarcophagus, emerging after their enemies had left.

Trivia[]

  • Though it is not actually stated in The Four Legendary Kingdoms, it can be presumed that because of his connection to the components of the first and second trials of the Super-Ancient Beings that Khufu was most likely a member of the Four Legendary Kingdoms.
