Hans Koenig is a former Nazi working for the Commander-in-Chief's In Extremis Force.

History[]

Early History[]

Hans Koenig and Herman Hessler were both founding members of the Nazi party, and were reportedly best buddies with Adolf Hitler himself.

In 1941, Koenig and Hessler were given leave to begin an expedition to locate the pieces of the Golden Capstone. In secret, Koenig copied his partner's notes on what they knew of the seven Ancient Wonders.

Soon after their expedition began, Koenig and Hessler managed to locate Hamilcar's lost refuge after having their U-342 submarine trawl along the Tunisia coastline. Upon surfacing in the hidden inlet, they made their way to the Piece's location within the refuge. However, Koenig and Hessler faced multiple trap systems, and when Hessler became trapped by a volcanic mud trap, Koenig decided not to push his luck and fled, abandoning his partner.

Koenig wandered through the desert for days after his escape from Hamilcar's refuge, until he was captured by British forces in Tobruk. Later, the Nazi was handed over to the Americans for interrogation.

Up until 2006, Koenig continued living in the United States; during this period, he changed his allegiance to Colonel Marshall Judah and the Commander-in-Chief's In Extremis Force, supplying them with information from his copy of Hessler's notebook (presumably so that he could still live to see the Capstone restored).

Seven Ancient Wonders[]

When Judah's men subdued Francisco del Piero and his Europeon forces at Luxor Airport, Koenig was introduced to del Piero and the first twin born of the Oracle of Siwa, Alexander.

Replicating the measurements and angles from the second obelisk in Paris, Koenig helped to uncover the tomb of Alexander the Great, and with it the topmost piece of the Capstone. Inside, Koening took measurements of the chamber at Judah's request, and Koenig was surprised when Max Epper interrupted to suggest what some of the measurements were. Suspicious that he knew them exactly, Koenig questioned how he knew, and so Epper pointed out that the measurements were the same as St Peter's Basilica.

During the ritual of power ceremony on top of the Giza Pyramid, Koenig was present at the top of the erected platform to witness the event. When Jack West Jr and his team interrupted, Koening attempted to dispatch the Australian soldier with a knife, but Jack shot the old man twice, the blows sending him over the platform to the ground below.
