The Four Legendary Kingdoms[]
Born prior to 2,500 BC, the man known through history as Gilgamesh apparently earned a reputation as warrior, though his eventual role as a king of the city of Uruk suggests he may have been a member of one of the Four Legendary Kingdoms.
Because of his reputation, Gilgamesh was selected to be one of the 16 Champions during the second Great Games of the Hydra. Gilgamesh and the rest of the Champions were brought to the Underworld, along with a few of his friends/family who were to be his support team. At the end of the second Great Games, Gilgamesh stood victorious as the overall winner, and won his sponsoring King the right to be the one who received the Mysteries from the Underworld's obelisk.
Because of his achievement in winning the Great Games, Gilgamesh's name went down in legend thanks to the Four Kingdoms, with his exploits being noted in the epic poem known as the Epic of Gilgamesh. Though he eventually died, Gilgamesh's actions led to him becoming a well-known figure in many history.
During the course of the fourth Great Games, the conscripted Champion Jack West Jr and his adopted daughter Lily learned the truth behind Gilgamesh's legend as a previous Champion.
Meanwhile, in an attempt to find out where the Four Kingdoms had taken their friends, Mabel Merriweather and Pooh Bear made contact with the blood antiquities dealer "Sunny" Malik, discovering he had sold Dion DeSaxe a tablet with the Ninth poem of the Epic of Gilgamesh, containing extra lines that described how Gilgamesh had reached the Underworld.
