Georgio Lane, also known as Legs, was a member of Shane Schofield's Marine unit.
History[]
Ice Station[]
Through unknown circumstances, Georgio Lane joined the United States Marine Corps, where he gained the call-sign Legs.
He was eventually assigned to the Marine Recon Unit 16, led by Shane Schofield.
Legs was the team medic of Schofield's Marine unit, among those sent to Wilkes Ice Station. He was among Book's sub-team who diverted to check on a crashed hovercraft.
Shortly after arriving at Wilkes itself, the French soldiers who had been posing as scientists started attacking the Marines, and Legs was alongside Mother and Rebound as they were forced down onto B-deck. After being caught in a pincer maneuver between the French forces, Legs was hit in the neck. He only had time to pull out his Colt right before the gases lingering in the station were ignited by the French's next shots, which Legs took the brunt of, killing him before he even hit the ground.
The following explosive shots caused the catwalk to collapse, with Legs' body falling into the diving pool along with everyone else. His floating corpse was snatched up by a killer whale, the fact that he was completely still warning everyone that they were all targets regardless of whether or not they moved.
Skills[]
- Expert Combatant: As a trained U.S. Marine, Legs has been trained in several forms of hand-to-hand combat.
- Expert Marksman: Being a trained soldier, Legs is an accurate marksman and capable of using a variety of different firearms.
- Trained Medic: Legs has been given training as a field medic for his unit, although his knowledge was apparently limited to treating injuries so that his patients will survive long enough to receive more comprehensive aid.
Equipment[]
- Hovercraft: An air-cushioned vehicle which was used to transport Legs and the rest of the unit from McMurdo to Wilkes research station while in Antarctica.
- Armalite MH-12 Maghook: A grappling hook apparatus with magnetic adhesion properties, often employed by members of the U.S. Marine Corps' reconnaissance units.
Trivia[]
- Despite being listed as Corporal and the medic of the unit, the United States Marine Corp does not train medics; all medical personal are provided by the United States Navy.
