Francis 'Frank' K. Nash is an U.S. Army Colonel.

Early HistoryEdit

By unknown circumstances, Frank Nash joined the U.S. Army, and eventually made his way through the ranks to become a Colonel, working for the Army's Special Projects Division.

Due to the fact that the Army was the most likely American armed force to be shut down by 2010, Nash was among those in Army who sought to find a way to make the Army more useful than either the Navy or Air Force. After they discovered the Navy was working on Project Supernova, a bomb capable of destroying a third of the planet, with DARPA, they decided to create their own superbomb, and General Lancaster put Nash in charge of the illicit project.

After recruiting Lauren O'Connor and Troy Copeland, who were also Special Projects, to his cause, Nash and the others began collaborating with Martin Race of DARPA who was working on the project, and whom already knew Lauren.

Eventually they had a workable Supernova shell, as did the Navy, and Nash's team then set to work locating a source of Thyrium-261, which was a necessary component in the superbomb. Eventually rumours of of an Incan idol supposedly carved from Thyrium came to Nash's knowledge, and he quickly arranged a mission and team to locate it in Peru before the Navy's project leader, Julius Romano, could.

However a massacre at the holy abbey where a monk's manuscript revealed the Idol's location led to its theft, and Nash's people were only able to get a partial copy from an alternate source. Because they required someone to translate the manuscript into English, Nash decided to recruit Marty's brother William from the New York University, because the best latin linguist had already being recruited into Romano's team.
