The Speed Razor is a hover car belonging to Xavier Xonora and his team.

History[]

Hover Car Racer[]

A top-of-the-line Lockheed-Martin ProRacer-5 hover car was purchased by the King of Monsei, Francis Xonora, and gifted to his son Xavier. Naming his car the Speed Razor, Xavier proceeded to demonstrate his talent for racing, and upon being invited to attend the International Race School, he brought the Speed Razor with him to Tasmania as he prepared to begin his term.

Using the Speed Razor, Xavier dominated the school's racing season, maintaining the top spot on the tournament ladder, qualifying for the Sponsors' Tournament in the very first race.

After winning the Sponsors' Tournament, Xavier was invited by Antony Nelson - the owner of the Lockheed-Martin Factory Team - to drive under his license in the Italian Run, however, since he was allowed to use one of their cars, he did not take the Speed Razor with him to Italy.

Upon Xavier's return to Race School, he resumed using the Speed Razor as he reasserted his dominance in the school's racing season, eventually reaching an unassailable first place spot and earning one of the four invitations to the New York Masters. However, wanting to assist his stablemate Barnaby Becker in securing one of the other invitations and keep Jason Chaser from reaching the top four, Xavier rode shotgun for him during Race 50. Xavier used his superior talents to attempt to fend of Jason, even pretending the Speed Razor had stalled in the pit lane to block him, though Jason was able to use the Clashing Bergs shortcuts to overtake the Speed Razor.

Xavier once again used the Speed Razor during the Challenger Race, though ultimately the black prince lost to Jason.

Attributes[]

Hover / Flight Capabilities[]

Like any hover car, the Speed Razor is equipped with a set of six magneto drives in order to perform vertical take-off and landing feats, as well as fly.

Speed[]

As with all racing-class hover cars, the Speed Razor is capable of reaching speeds that the average land-based car could not, easily up to a few hundred km/h and near to Mach 1.

Reinforced Cockpit[]

Due to the extreme speeds race cars fly at, the Speed Razor possesses a heavily reinforced cockpit that can withstand a lot of damage should the car crash. Of course, this is not full-proof, nor intended to be a primary safety measure, as the cockpit also contains ejection seats for the driver and navigator too use, and so the reinforced cockpit is a back-up precaution should they fail to eject in time.

Trivia[]

  • The number chosen by Xavier for the Speed Razor is Number 1, despite the number being typically applied to the car of the top racer in the pro-circuit (Alesandro Romba's La Bomba).
