Father Felix Rasmussen is an ambitious member of the Catholic Church and their expert on the Trial of the Mountains.

History[]

Early History[]

At some point, Felix Rasmussen joined the Catholic Church, and became the protégé of Brother Dagobert de Montreuil. However, Rasmussen expressed a blatant desire to move up in the Church's ranks, and so Dagobert did not share everything he knew with the younger man.

During his time with the Church, Rasmussem came to learn about the Four Legendary Kingdoms who secretly ruled the world from the shadows, the Super-Ancient Beings and their trials leading up to the end of the universe, the Omega Event. In the hopes of proving himself useful, Rasmussen began studying the Trial of the Mountains, learning all he could about the iron mountain, the nature of the Fall, and the necessary alignments with a pedestal on the moon, all of which led Rasmussen to become the Church's foremost expert on the trial and a High Astronomer.

In the hopes of continuing advancing, Rasmussen began doing all he could to impress more senior members of the Church, such as Cardinal Ricardo Mendoza, and his understanding of office politics eventually helped the German get promoted to the rank of Father. This was a source of annoyance for Dagobert, who disliked Rasmussen's sycophancy, and solidified his previous decision to not share certain knowledge with him.

The Two Lost Mountains[]

At some point before the final ritual for the Trial of the Cities, Rasmussen was dispatched to the first iron mountain at Mont Saint-Michel by Mendoza and the Church, in order to start preparing it for Sphinx's attempt at the Fall once the lunar alignment event began.

On December 25th, Rasmussen had completed the necessary preparations, and once Mendoza arrived with Sphinx's advance force, the Father took every opportunity to try to impress the senior Church member. Before Sphinx's arrival, Dagobert made an excuse to Rasmussen to slip away, and when he returned Rasmussen berated the Jesuit for keeping Mendoza waiting. Once Sphinx and his entourage arrived, Rasmussen watched as the upstart Trismagi performed the Fall.

As Sphinx prepared to leave for the Supreme Labyrinth, however, Mendoza asked what to do about Rasmussen and the others, and after a moment's consideration the Trismagi decided that it was too dangerous to let them live and tell anyone of what they had seen, decided to have a bronzeman tear off their heads. Shocked, Rasmussen tried to protest that he only wished to serve Sphinx, but was cut off as Dion DeSaxe brought forth his father. After a brief respite where Sphinx had Hades killed by a silverman and called out the watching Jack West Jr, the bronzemen were turned on the monks. Rasmussen was the first seized by the automatons, and was quickly and gruesomely killed as his head was torn from his body.

Skills[]

  • Expert Historian: As a member of the Church, Rasmussen has apparently learned much of the true history of mankind, including matters relating to the Four Kingdoms' influence on the world and the trials of the Super-Ancients Beings. Rasmussen spent years studying the Trial of the Mountains in particular, including the iron mountains and the Fall, becoming the Church foremost authority on the trial.
  • Expert Astronomer: As he was a High Astronomer for the Church, Rasmussen was presumably well-learned in matters of astronomy, a field which helped him study the moon pedestal and determine the times for the pedestal's alignments with the Earth.
