The Criseans are an alien species which participates as one of seven contesting races in the Presidian.

Early History[]
Since the beginnings of their civilisation, the alien species known as the Criseans have maintained a largely non-technological society.
Upon the beginning of the first Presidian, the Criseans were considered intelligent enough by the presiding race to be allowed to participate in the inter-alien contest.
In the course of the Criseans' participation in the Presidia, their species won one of the contests.
As the time for the seventh Presidian approached, Balthazar was chosen to be the Criseans's latest contestant. As soon as his guide entered the labyrinth's co-ordinates into the teleporter, the Crisean was teleported light-years away to Earth.

Description[]
The appearance of the Crisean species is unknown, but they are known to possess amorphic abilities which enable them to alter their physical shape. The only Crisean described, Balthazar, used this ability to shape-shift into a tall, bearded man in order to facilitate the usage of door handles and weapons made for the human form. The only other known feature of Criseans is that their eyes do not dilate under light.
Society[]
While the Criseans are noted to not be a technologically advanced species like humans, their level of intelligence was deemed high enough by the presiding species of the Presidian to allow them to participate. Criseans are a species of expert blade-wielding warriors, being particularly adept at using smalls blades such as throwing knives and daggers.
