Cerberus is one of the warriors of the Underworld and the personal bodyguard of Anthony "Hades" DeSaxe.

History[]

Early History[]

Under unknown circumstances, the man later referred to as Cerberus came into the services of the Kingdom of Underworld of the Four Legendary Kingdoms, taking on the role of being the personal bodyguard to the King of Underworld, Anthony "Hades" DeSaxe.

At some point prior to the Great Games of the Hydra, Cerberus was chosen by Monsieur Vacheron to participate in the role of Cerberus, because of both his large physique and role of Hades's bodyguard. Clad in armour and given a helmet shaped like a dog's head, Cerberus began preparing for the Great Games in which he would act as the final opponent for the Champions, though Cerberus was told of what it would take for a true Champion of the Games to defeat him.

The Four Legendary Kingdoms[]

After the Third Challenge, Cerberus attended the banquet dinner hosted by Hades, remaining by his master's side, his imposing presence noted by Lily West when she was met by the King of Underworld.

Moments after defeating Zaitan DeSaxe, Chaos and the Hydra in the Eighth Challenge, Jack West Jr was dismayed when he was faced with Cerberus, whom he knew to be fully rested and prepared for a fight. As Cerbereus approached Jack on the combat platform, Jack, knowing that he would barely be able to hold his own against Cerberus in his tired state, tried to recall how Hercules had defeated Cerberus's namesake in the myths. When he realised how, Jack called to Hades for permission to bring Cerberus to him. Hades, delighted that Jack was worthy of being the Champion, agreed, and so Cerberus dropped his weapons and followed Jack up to Hades' throne, where the Champion of the Great Games removed the final Golden Sphere from his chest-plate and presented it to Hades.

It is unclear what happened to Cerberus following the minotaurs' revolt in the Underworld.

Skills[]

  • Expert Combatant: As a warrior in the service of the Kingdom of Underworld, Cerberus has been trained in many forms of hand-to-hand combat.
  • Expert Marksman: Due to the fact that he was carrying a pair of Glock pistols, Cerberus can be assumed to have trained to be an accurate marksman and capable of using a number of firearms.
  • Blade Mastery: To Be Added.
  • Mace Mastery: To Be Added.

Equipment[]

Weapons[]

  • Sword: A short, curving sword which Cerberus carried into the Ninth Challenge.
  • Mace: A battle mace that Cerberus carried into the Ninth Challenge.
  • Glocks: A pair of handguns that Cerberus kept in a pair of holsters on his thighs.

Other Equipment[]

  • Helmet: A silver ceremonial helmet shaped like a dog's head, worn by Cerberus during the Great Games.
  • Body Armour: A set of silver-coloured armour that Cerberus wore throughout the Great Games. Cerberus's armour, unlike Hades's other warrior, is more modern, consisting of a bi-kevlar and carbon fibre plating for the chestplate, shoulderplates and forearm guards, in addition to his own combat trousers and steel-toed boots. In the middle of the chestplate is a open section which can hold one of the Golden Spheres.
  • Golden Sphere: One of the mysterious orbs of quartz which Cerberus had embedded in his chestplate during the Ninth Challenge, until Jack removed it and gave it to Hades after figuring out the true method to fulfilling the challenge.

Trivia[]

  • He is noted to be the largest of Hades' warrior-servants.
