The Great Zoo of China[]
When the Chinese were organising security measures for the Great Dragon Zoo of China in conjunction with their military, a heavily-armed Chinook was kept at the Zoo to provide air support against the dragons should they get out of line. The Chinook was also equipped with a ultrasonic shield to deter the dragons from getting too close to it.
When the American guests were forced to evade the Chinese after witnessing a huge massacre at the Zoo, Greg Johnson asked Go-Go Guan how many choppers the military kept at the Zoo, with Go-Go mentioning the Chinook during his tally.
After Colonel Bao determined that the Americans were likely at Dragon Mountain, he ordered the Recon One team to head there and kill them, with Recon One using the Chinook to fly up to the revolving restaurant to intercept them. The Chinook remained hovering outside, but when the entire Zoo lost all power, the Chinook's ultrasonic shield was rendered powerless as well. Within moments, a red-bellied black emperor caught the Chinook in its claws and then threw it against the mountainside, destroying it.
The Three Secret Cities[]
In the course of the Knights of the Golden Eight's planning to capture Lily West and hand Jack West Jr to Yago DeSaxe, they acquired a CH-47 Chinook and rigged it with remote controls in order to pilot it remotely. They then captured a double-decker bus full of people and hooked it beneath their Chinook.
After the Knights got Jack and Lily's attention on live television by murdering family members of some of their allies, Jaeger Eins proceeded to call Jack and Lily out and demanded they meet them on Westminster Bridge. When Jack and Lily approached the Bridge and refused to get inside the Knights' Challenger 2, Eins had the Chinook carrying the hostages appear on the scene. The Chinook hovered for a few moments until Eins had it drop the bus into the Thames. As Lily went to free the hostages, Jack entered the tank and then used it to bring down the Knights' aircraft, including the Chinook.
