Itzak Meir, also known as Avenger, is a Mossad agent.
History[]
Early History[]
Through unknown circumstances, Itzak Meir joined the Israeli sniper force Sayaret Matkal, where he gained the call-sign Avenger.
In 2003, the Mossad and Avenger tasked Benjamin Cohen with joining Jack West Jr and a coalition of small nations in their mission to restore the ancient Capstone and avert the catastrophe caused by the Tartarus sunspot, because the Mossad knew that Jack would be more likely to accept Cohen rather than kill him on sight. Since Cohen's only way to be accepted into the team was to avoid communicating with his superiors, Avenger kept track of his subordinate via a tracking chip implanted in him.
Seven Ancient Wonders[]
Avenger continued to track Cohen's position until March 2006 while the mission to restore the Capstone was underway.
The Mossad decided that it was time to step in when Cohen and the remainder of the Coaliton team ventured into Iraq to locate the Hanging Gardens of Babylon. Avenger led a team to track Cohen's location to a waterfall that hid the entrance to the Gardens, barely managing to arrive before the American forces. Avenger's team entered the Garden's entrance and were forced to the end of the slope by a sliding stone, and Avenger had a sniper threaten Lily to ensure West wouldn't do anything foolish while Cohen told him how to cross a quicksand pit safely.
Upon him and his men crossing the pit, Avenger then congratulated Cohen on his work, and apologised for surprising him with their unexpected arrival. He then proceeded to coerce the small coalition team to lead them to the Capstone Piece within, with the intention of using it as a bargaining chip to gain leverage over the Americans. Avenger was unconcerned with Jack's initial trouble in the Well of the Winged Lion, resulting in the loss of Schaefer, and was completely disinterested in the spectacle of the Hanging Gardens as they made their way to the Piece.
Once they retrieved the Piece, Avenger abandoned West and Pooh Bear and took Lily with him as the Israeli's used the path to the second entrance. However, when Lily was trapped in quicksand, Avenger decided to abandon her and ordered Cohen to leave her, but Cohen decided to stay with her. When Avenger's team reached their escape chopper at the exit point, they found that Cal Kallis and his CIEF team had already disabled it. Kallis then took their Piece and executed Avenger and his team.
